Niegripp es una localidad rural del municipio de Burg. Se encuentra a siete kilómetros al oeste del centro de la ciudad de Burg y está rodeada de agua por todos lados. Por la localidad pasan el Elba y el canal Elbe-Havel, el canal de conexión Niegripper al sur y el antiguo canal Niegripper al norte conectan ambas vías navegables. La riqueza hídrica se completa con el lago Niegripper de 120 hectáreas, situado al este de la localidad, que es un antiguo pozo de grava y se utiliza como área de recreo.
A través de Niegripp pasa la carretera distrital 1215 / carretera estatal 52, que al norte conduce a la ciudad del distrito y al sur hacia la localidad vecina de Hohenwarthe con acceso a la autopista A2. Las tierras agrícolas rodean la localidad al sur y al norte. Un humedal de la desembocadura del Elba se extiende hacia el Elba, que se encuentra a un kilómetro de distancia.
