La Rhein-Main International Montessori School fue desde 2004 hasta 2015, junto con la Philipp-Reis-Schule, una de las dos escuelas secundarias en Friedrichsdorf. La RIMS se encontraba en manos privadas y era la escuela más joven de la ciudad. Como una de las pocas escuelas Montessori internacionales de Alemania, engloba todo el espectro de la pedagogía Montessori, desde la casa de niños hasta la escuela primaria y secundaria, bajo un mismo techo. Con excepción de la educación secundaria superior, la RIMS trabajaba según los estándares de la Association Montessori Internationale, una especie de sello de calidad para las instituciones Montessori.
