El Köppernitz es un curso de agua en el área del municipio de Barnekow y de la ciudad de Wismar en Mecklemburgo-Pomerania Occidental.
El río tiene su origen al sur de Krönkenhagen, un distrito del municipio de Barnekow y al oeste de la A 20. Fluye desde allí en dirección norte y luego en dirección noreste a través de Groß Woltersdorf y Klein Woltersdorf, pasa por debajo de la B106 y luego fluye por el lado sur y este del Parque Ciudadano en Wismar. Desemboca en la zona norte de Wismar y en la punta sur de la bahía de Wismar en el mar Báltico.
