El lago Großstolpener es una masa de agua tranquila en el área de la ciudad sajona de Groitzsch, en el distrito de Leipzig.
El pozo de extracción inundado se encuentra al sureste de Großstolpen, un barrio de Groitzsch. La B 176 Bad Langensalza–Hartha pasa un poco al norte. Al este se encuentra la mina a cielo abierto Vereinigtes Schleenhain. En la esquina noroeste del lago se encuentra el área natural Landschaftssee Großstolpen. En la parte noroeste del lago, que tiene aproximadamente 31 hectáreas y una profundidad de hasta 5 metros, hay una isla para aves.
