La iglesia evangélica de San Mauricio en Kernen im Remstal se encuentra en el centro del distrito de Rommelshausen. Está situada en las inmediaciones del antiguo ayuntamiento y del recinto de la parroquia.
Rommelskirchen ya era un lugar parroquial en 1275, y en 1408 ya se documenta una iglesia dedicada a San Mauricio. El coro del campanario, como la parte más antigua de la iglesia actual, se había construido antes, probablemente en el siglo XIV. Con la Reforma en el ducado de Wurtemberg en 1534, la iglesia se volvió evangélica.
