Al norte de la iglesia de la prebendad se encuentra, directamente en el Emswehr, un edificio emblemático, el llamado "Große Mühle" - la actual Casa Christoph-Bernsmeyer. Una piedra heráldica en el hastial informa sobre una renovación fundamental en 1754, en la que estuvo involucrado el maestro de arquitectura barroca westfaliano Johann Conrad Schlaun.
En 1976/1977, la antigua fábrica de harina fue asumida por la orden de las franciscanas de Mauritz. El fundador de esta orden fue el Padre Christoph Bernsmeyer (1777-1858), quien vivió más de 50 años como sacerdote auxiliar en Telgte. Durante mucho tiempo, la Casa Christoph-Bernsmeyer sirvió como casa de descanso para las hermanas del orden. Hoy en día, allí viven hermanas de la orden Maria Stella Matutina.
En la orilla derecha del Emswehr, anteriormente había un molino de aceite y un molino de caminar, que fue demolido alrededor de 1900.
