Ehlen es una localidad del municipio de Habichtswald en el distrito de Kassel en Hesse del Norte. Tiene 2739 habitantes.
Ehlen está situada en el parque natural Habichtswald, aproximadamente a 13,5 kilómetros al oeste del centro de Kassel, entre el núcleo de Zierenberg al nornoroeste, el barrio de Dörnberg al noreste, Breitenbach al sur, Martinhagen al suroeste y Burghasungen al oeste. Al noreste de la aldea, que se encuentra a una altitud de aproximadamente 320 a 375 m sobre el nivel del mar, se eleva el Hohe Dörnberg, al sureste se encuentra el Essigberg, al oeste el Burghasunger Berg y al noroeste el Große Bärenberg. Directamente al oeste de Ehlen fluye en dirección sur-norte el río Warme. Entre Burghasungen y Dörnberg discurre la carretera federal 251; esta cruza en la aldea la carretera estatal 3220.
