El Wildburg es un castillo reconstruido en el municipio de Treis-Karden en el distrito de Cochem-Zell. Se encuentra a aproximadamente 30 kilómetros en línea recta al suroeste de Coblenza.
El castillo en altura está en un espolón montañoso boscoso y empinado, rodeado por los dos arroyos Flaumbach y Dünnbach que vienen del Hunsrück. En el mismo espolón, solo separado por un valle, se encuentra el castillo de Treis, que está a pocos cientos de metros al norte y a una altura algo más baja. El Wildburg se encuentra a una altitud de aproximadamente 85 metros sobre la confluencia de los dos arroyos. Situado a una altitud de 165 metros sobre el nivel del mar, está a poco más de un kilómetro al sur de Treis en un valle lateral del Mosela.
