Guadalmez es un municipio español que pertenece a la comarca del Valle de Alcudia, de la provincia de Ciudad Real, encuadrada en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla-La Mancha.Es un municipio situado en las estribaciones de Sierra Morena en la confluencia de tres grandes valles de larga tradición ganadera: Alcudia, La Serena y Los Pedroches. Su término municipal está bañado por el río Guadalmez, que atraviesa su valle en dirección SE-NO, hasta su confluencia con el río Zújar, donde forman la cola del gigantesco embalse de La Serena que es el segundo mayor de Europa.
