Olesa de Montserrat es un municipio con una población de 23 552 habitantes , en la provincia de Barcelona , situado en la comarca del Bajo Llobregat y por donde pasa el río Llobregat.
El término municipal está rodeado por cuatro pueblos: al norte, Vacarises; al este, Viladecavalls; el río Llobregat divide Esparraguera en el poniente; y al sur, Abrera. Su extensión es de 16,75 km² de estos, 2,752 km² corresponden al suelo urbano e industrial.
