Morcín es un concejo de la comunidad autónoma española del Principado de Asturias, dividido en siete parroquias, formando un total de 65 núcleos de población, de los cuales 53 tienen una población inferior a los 100 habitantes, y únicamente las doce entidades restantes con una población de entre 100 y 1000 habitantes. Limita al norte con el concejo de Ribera de Arriba, al sur con el de Riosa, con el de Mieres al Este y con el de Quirós y Santo Adriano al oeste. Cuenta en total con una población de 2666 habitantes .
