Callosa de Segura es una ciudad y municipio de la Comunidad Valenciana, España. Está situada al sur de la provincia de Alicante, exactamente en la comarca de la Vega Baja del Segura. Tiene una población de 19.127 habitantes [1] repartidos sobre una extensión de 24,8 km², siendo así uno de los municipios con mayor población de la comarca de la Vega Baja. La ciudad se encuentra ubicada a 16 metros de altitud sobre el nivel del mar, los cuales ascienden considerablemente a medida que nos acercamos a las proximidades de la Sierra de Callosa. Además, el municipio se caracteriza por ser el mayor productor nacional de redes y cabos, dando lugar a un gran sector industrial, el cual repercute de manera positiva en la cantidad de empleo creado en la ciudad, así como también en municipios limítrofes.
