Guanartemato de Gáldar

Description

El Guanartemato de Gáldar era uno de los guanartematos en los que se dividió la isla de Tamaran tras la muerte de Artemi Semidán en 1405, hasta la conquista de la isla. La antigua jefatura única de la isla, con sede en Telde, quedó dividida en dos, quedando al frente de Gáldar, el guanarteme Egonaygache Semidán.

El guanartemato ocuparía todo el sector noroeste de la isla, y posiblemente sus límites con el Guanartemato de Telde estarían en el Barranco Guiniguada y el Barranco de Arguineguín, según Abreu Galindo, o el Barranco Guiniguada y Barranco de Tirajana.[1]​
