Pinares y arenales del centro de la Provincia.
Gran parte de la etapa discurre por los pinares de pino rodeno que ocupan el centro de la provincia de Soria y que se extienden por las terrazas fluviales y suelos arenosos hasta el norte del río Duero. En el tramo final, la etapa discurre junto al río para llegar juntos hasta la localidad de Gormaz, situada al pie de su impresionante fortaleza califal, que se eleva en un gran cerro que domina toda la comarca.
