Despidiendo al ferrocarril Central de Aragón y conectando con el ferrocarril minero de Ojos Negros.
Crucial y larga etapa de más de 37 km, que conecta la línea de ferrocarril del Central de Aragón con el ferrocarril minero de Ojos Negros, en las minas de Sierra Menera. Para ello, se pasa por localidades como El Poyo del Cid, Caminreal o Monreal del Campo, entre otras, emparentadas con el ferrocarril Santander – Mediterráneo. Un viraje al suroeste en busca de la localidad de Ojos Negros que sumerge al viajero en el entorno minero, finalizando en las minas de Sierra Menera, donde da comienzo el ferrocarril de Ojos Negros a Sagunto.
