El refugio está situado el invierno a pie de las pistas de esquí de la Pierre Saint-Martin y el verano en la senda de gran caminata que úne el Atlántico al Mediterráneo (GR10).
Desde la terraza, el refugio le ofrece una vista panorámica excepcional a 360 ° sobre las diferentes cumbres de la cadena. En el interior, alrededor de la chimenea vasta, reina un ambiente caluroso y auténticamente montañés.
