La Torre del Rey Federico es una torre de vigilancia en la cima del monte Erice, a unos 800 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
La torre fue construida en el siglo XIII por orden de Federico II de Suabia , quien utilizó Erice como base estratégica para controlar el oeste de Sicilia . La Catedral Real fue construida en el siglo XIV. Estaba situado junto a la torre de vigilancia que a finales del siglo XIV se transformó en campanario con vidrieras.
La Torre del Rey Federico ofrece vistas panorámicas de la ciudad y las colinas circundantes. La entrada a la torre es gratuita y puedes subir a la cima para disfrutar de las espectaculares vistas.
