El dominio tiene una historia de al menos 700 años y posiblemente más. Hasta donde se sabe, no hay ningún terreno en los Países Bajos que tenga una riqueza similar en valor cultural e histórico dentro de un radio de varios kilómetros. En el dominio Schuilenburg, el núcleo está formado por el Sagenschuur. El Sagenschuur alberga la historia del dominio Schuilenburg. Los tiempos antiguos cobran vida en las imágenes del pilar multimedia. Pinturas recrean la atmósfera histórica. Hallazgos de las excavaciones se exhiben en vitrinas.
