Beneden-Leeuwen es una aldea en la provincia neerlandesa de Gelderland, situada a orillas del río Waal. En el dialecto local y además especialmente durante el carnaval se le llama Lauwe. La segunda parte del nombre proviene de hlaiwa, la palabra germánica primitiva para montículo funerario. Lo mismo se aplica al nombre Boven-Leeuwen.
