Poppenwier es una aldea en el municipio de Súdwest-Fryslân en la provincia de Frisia, los Países Bajos. Tenía una población de alrededor de 170 en enero de 2017. La aldea fue mencionada por primera vez en 1401 como Popengwere, y significa "terp del pueblo de Poppa". Poppenwier es una aldea terp de la alta edad media. La pequeña terp está densamente construida con una estructura rectangular y un círculo alrededor de la iglesia. Fue la terp más alejada tierra adentro de Frisia.
