Por encargo de la Fundación Monumento a la Guerra Zuidzande, una iniciativa de Cornélie van de Reepe.
Inaugurado el 5 de noviembre de 2004 por J. Suurmond, diputado de la provincia de Zelanda. El monumento fue adoptado por la escuela primaria pública del pueblo, para mantener viva la memoria de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
