La estatua y la fuente de San Juan deberían, según el orden lógico de los evangelistas, ser las últimas y ser sustituidas por las de Lucas.
Es de destacar que San Juan lleva en sus manos el Evangelio , símbolo del libro que escribió.
Al pie de la estatua se encuentra el mensaje en latín: <<IN PRINCIPE ERAT VERBUM EN VERBUM ERAT APUD DEUM, ET GOD ERAT VERBUM», traducido: << En el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios .>>.
Debajo de la inscripción aparece la cabeza de un águila , rociando agua a través de su pico.
