El Vuelo NG004 de Lauda Air era un vuelo internacional de pasajeros programado regularmente entre Bangkok, Tailandia y Viena, Austria. El 26 de mayo de 1991, un Boeing 767-300ER que operaba el vuelo se estrelló debido a un despliegue no comandado del inversor de empuje en el motor No.1 en pleno vuelo, matando a los 213 pasajeros y a los diez miembros de la tripulación a bordo. Es el accidente de aviación más mortífero que involucra un Boeing 767 y el accidente de aviación más mortífero en Tailandia. El accidente también marcó el primer incidente fatal y la primera pérdida total del tipo de aeronave. Lauda Air fue fundada y dirigida por el antiguo campeón del mundo de Fórmula Uno, Niki Lauda. Lauda estuvo personalmente involucrado en la investigación del accidente. El avión involucrado era un Boeing 767-300ER que había sido entregado nuevo a Lauda Air el 16 de octubre de 1989.
