Sankt Johann im Pongau est une ville autrichienne, le centre administratif du district de Sankt Johann im Pongau dans l'État de Salzbourg.
Sankt Johann est située dans la large vallée de la Salzach au sud de la ville voisine de Bischofshofen, à 52 km au sud de la capitale régionale de Salzbourg. Le territoire communal s'étend au pied des Alpes orientales centrales . La ville est une station de sports d'hiver du réseau de l'espace Salzburg Amadé Sport World.
