Le Ruinenberg de Gösting, historiquement Annaberg, est un avant-mont de 574 m d'altitude au nord de Graz, près du Flösserkogel. On y trouve la ruine de Gösting. La montagne forme un éperon orienté à l'est, autour duquel la Mur forme son coude en quittant les Alpes et entre dans le bassin de Graz, faisant ainsi du Ruinenberg l'extrémité nord-ouest de ce dernier. Au pied sud-est se trouve le village de Gösting, aujourd'hui 13e arrondissement de la capitale du land de Styrie, au nord de Raach, également quartier. Le mont Plabutsch au sud est séparé de la montagne par la vallée de Thal avec le ruisseau Thaler.
