Les vrais alpinistes veulent toujours regagner les montagnes, mais après la vie trépidante innsbruckoise, cette étape facile arrive pile au bon moment. Les jambes peuvent se reposer un peu car on rejoint Igls par le bus ou le tramway, où un téléphérique nous monte en haut du Patscherkofel. Le Zirbenweg est un large sentier sans passages escarpés qui mène vers l'est. Même la montée au chalet de Boschebenhütte est très légère. De là, soit on rejoint le chalet de Meißnerhaus par la vallée de Viggartal, soit on se dirige vers l'alpage de Tulfeinalm et le télésiège de Glungezerbahn. Ce dernier nous descend vers Tulfes, puis retour à Igls et Innsbruck. Depuis Tulfes, il est cependant plus que recommandé d'aller visiter la belle petite ville historique de Hall in Tirol.
