Le quartier Léopold est un quartier bruxellois dans la commune de Bruxelles-ville. Il fut créé par la Société civile pour l'agrandissement et l'embellissement de Bruxelles le 4 octobre 1837 et doit son nom au roi Léopold Ier de Belgique.Le 15 novembre 1835, Ferdinand de Meeûs et ses associés Jacques Coghen et François Xavier Benard avaient déjà créé une société civile pour l'acquisition de biens immeubles : ils avaient déjà l'idée d'agrandir la ville de Bruxelles et peu à peu achetaient les terres de Saint-Josse-ten-Noode.
