Ledeghem, en néerlandais Ledegem, est une commune néerlandophone de Belgique située en Région flamande dans la province de Flandre-Occidentale.La plus ancienne mention du lieu date de 1085 : « Liedengehem », qui signifierait « terre de la famille Lido ». Le fief portait le nom de Watene. Le village se développa au nord de la Heule. Le territoire au sud resta marécageux pendant plusieurs siècles, uniquement parsemé de quelques fermes.
