Ce parc (Keunepark dans le langage courant) a été créé en 1977. Il constitue une zone verte entre le chenal du port et les bâtiments le long de l’avenue Albert I, qui court parallèlement au chenal du port. En 2000, le parc a été renommé « Parc du Prince Maurice », en l'honneur de la commémoration de la bataille de Nieuwpoort en 1600.
