En 1833, afin de régler les graves litiges de propriété entre les communes d’Auwaille et de Theux, un abornement est ordonné par le roi Léopold.
Il se compose de 9 marquages cylindriques en pierre placés dans un alignement rectiligne de 7,3 km.
Une partie de la promenade « La vallée du Ninglinspo, Chefna, Amblève et la ligne 42 du chemin de fer ».
