Zumikon est une commune du district de Meilen dans le canton de Zurich en Suisse. Elle est située dans la région de Pfannenstiel.
L'origine du nom Zumikon remonte à l'année 946 après J.-C., d'un hameau nommé Zuminga. Au début du 17ème siècle, la population n'était que de 100 habitants, dont la plupart étaient des agriculteurs. Jusqu'en 1707, Zumikon était une commune séparée, et la partie intégrale de Waltikon était également indépendante, tout comme Gössikon. Cela a duré jusqu'en 1804. Au début du 20ème siècle, Zumikon est resté un village agricole ne comptant que 587 habitants en 1900. La région de Waltikon était pratiquement un territoire non bâti.
