Interlaken est une ville et une commune suisse du canton de Berne, située dans l'arrondissement administratif d'Interlaken-Oberhasli. En 2018, elle compte 5 610 habitants.
La commune portait le nom d'Aarmühle jusqu'en 1891, date à laquelle a été reprise une formule latine concernant un ancien monastère : inter lacus Madon : inter lacus a été germanisé en Interlaken.
