À côté de l'hôtel Hilton, il y a un parking où se tenait le célèbre Burgerbraukeller. Hitler y a développé son talent pour le spectacle et le discours. Il y a organisé de nombreux dîners. Le 8 novembre 1939, il y a eu la première attaque contre Hitler commise au Burgerbraukeller. C'était le menuisier Johann Georg Elser qui a commis l'attaque. Il avait huit minutes de retard, car Hitler est parti trop tôt et est allé à Berlin pour discuter du Plan Gelb. Le plan Gelb concernait l'invasion du Benelux et de la France qui devait être réalisée le 12 novembre 1939. Ce plan a été reporté en raison du mauvais temps.
