Wittlaer est un quartier de Düsseldorf dans le district urbain 5 et s'étend sur la rive est du Rhin inférieur, au nord de Kaiserswerth dans le Land de Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie. Le quartier comprend les anciens lieux de Dorf Bockum, Einbrungen, Froschenteich et Dorf Wittlaer. La frontière nord du quartier de Wittlaer coïncide avec la frontière de la ville de Düsseldorf avec Duisburg. Jusqu'à environ le milieu du 20ème siècle, deux familles de pêcheurs du Rhin vivaient également à Wittlaer, sinon la majorité des habitants étaient des agriculteurs.
