Moritzberg est un quartier à l'ouest de Hildesheim. Avec les agglomérations de Waldquelle, Godehardikamp et Bockfeld, il forme l'un des 14 villages de la ville. Le vieux village canonial a été intégré en 1911.
Au nord, Moritzberg est adjacent à Himmelsthür, séparé du Moritzberg par la B 1. En 2011, le quartier de Moritzberg avec Godehardikamp et Bockfeld ainsi que le district urbain de l'est, avec le quartier de Steinberg, qui s'étend de la Schützenwiese au nord jusqu'à la zone forestière de Steinberg au profond sud, ont été réunis sous le nom de Moritzberg. À l'ouest se trouvent de vastes espaces verts et forestiers au sud de Gallberg – Rottsberg – Lärchenberg, au sud, l'ancien village de Neuhof. Ils appartiennent tous au district urbain de Neuhof / Hildesheimer Wald.
