Le gymnase Johannes-Scharrer est un gymnase municipal de Nuremberg, situé à proximité immédiate du château. L'école a été nommée d'après l'entrepreneur et deuxième maire de Nuremberg, Johannes Scharrer.
Le gymnase Johannes-Scharrer a été fondé en 1834 en tant qu'école de commerce à l'initiative de son mécène et de son futur nommage, Johannes Scharrer. La nomination en l'honneur de Scharrer a eu lieu seulement en 1965. Avant cela, elle s'appelait École de commerce municipale depuis 1851. Après la création du gymnase Hans-Sachs et en raison des frais de scolarité plus élevés, le nombre d'élèves a diminué au début du 20ème siècle, jusqu'à ce que l'école soit même dissoute en 1910.
