Stendal Hauptbahnhof est l'une des trois gares de la ville de Stendal dans le Sachsen-Anhalt. C'est un nœud ferroviaire important pour les trains du trafic régional et il est également régulièrement desservi par des trains Intercity et Intercity-Express. Jusqu'à l'horaire d'hiver 2012, la gare de Stendal était uniquement desservie par des trains de la Deutsche Bahn. Depuis décembre 2012, l'Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn ainsi que depuis le 9 décembre 2018, la Hanseatische Eisenbahn et Abellio Rail Mitteldeutschland desservent la gare.
Le 7 juillet 1849, la ville de Stendal a reçu sa première connexion ferroviaire, lorsque la Magdeburg-Wittenbergesche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft a ouvert la ligne de chemin de fer Magdeburg–Wittenberge. Celle-ci longeait le bord est de la ville, où se trouvait initialement la gare.
