Gruiten est un quartier de la ville de Haan dans le district de Mettmann en Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie, comptant environ 6000 habitants et se situant à 159 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer.
Gruiten se compose de Gruiten-Dorf et de Gruiten, où se trouvent le nouveau centre du village, l'ancienne mairie et la gare. La Düssel traverse Gruiten-Dorf, qui reçoit ici l'affluent de la Kleine Düssel.
