La gare de Veitshöchheim est une gare régionale située au kilomètre 7,0 de la ligne Main-Spessart reliant Würzburg à Aschaffenburg. Elle a été construite lors de la construction de la ligne Ludwigs-Westbahn, qui a été mise en service le 1er octobre 1854. L'ancienne écriture « Veitshœchheim » se trouve encore aujourd'hui sur le bâtiment central en briques.
La gare a été érigée à proximité immédiate du château de Veitshöchheim, une résidence d'été d'abord pour les évêques de Würzburg, puis pour les rois de Bavière, à Veitshöchheim près de Würzburg. Le jardin rococo est particulièrement célèbre dans le cadre du château.
