La falaise de Bäumler est un promontoire rocheux dans le parc national du Harz, au sud-ouest d'Ilsenburg. Alors qu'elle était autrefois un point de vue populaire, comme en témoignent les vestiges d'une clôture, son environnement est aujourd'hui envahi par des hêtres et des épicéas.
La falaise a été nommée d'après le chasseur « Bäumler ». Ce dernier aurait poignardé son propre fils par jalousie en 1752 et se serait ensuite jeté dans le vide depuis cette falaise. Ce drame familial légendaire a été repris par Theodor Fontane et a trouvé sa place dans son récit « Ellernklipp ».
