Le monastère de Höchst à Höchst im Odenwald est un ancien monastère filiel des Augustines, fondé entre 1177 et 1244 par le monastère de Fulda sur leur domaine du château de Breuberg. En 1503, la dernière religieuse a quitté le monastère, qui a été réoccupé par des bénédictines en 1511. Au cours de la Réforme, le monastère a été dissous en 1568 et poursuivi en tant que fonds monastique évangélique. L'ensemble, considérablement agrandi par la suite, est depuis 1957 la propriété de l'Église évangélique en Hesse et Nassau. En 1962, le « Centre de jeunesse évangélique du monastère de Höchst » a emménagé dans le domaine. Depuis 2004, l'ancien monastère de Höchst sert de lieu de formation pour la jeunesse.
