L'Edertalschule est un lycée traditionnel à Frankenberg. Elle est située dans la partie sud-ouest du district de Waldeck-Frankenberg en Hesse et est le seul lycée de l'ancien district de Frankenberg, dont elle couvre encore aujourd'hui la zone de recrutement. En raison de cette situation, elle est, malgré sa localisation plutôt rurale, l'un des plus grands lycées de Hesse en termes de nombre d'élèves.
