La halte Essen-Holthausen est l'un des deux points d'arrêt du S-Bahn dans le quartier d'Überruhr à Essen. Elle est située à Überruhr-Holthausen. L'autre point d'arrêt du S-Bahn est Essen-Überruhr à Überruhr-Hinsel.
La halte possède deux quais latéraux. Ceux-ci sont accessibles par des escaliers et des ascenseurs. De ces deux quais latéraux, une construction de pont mène à la Langenberger Straße, située à un peu plus de 100 mètres à l'est, où se trouve l'arrêt Holthausen Bf de la Ruhrbahn, nommé d'après la halte.
