La bataille de Schellenberg ou bataille de Donauwörth eut lieu le 2 juillet 1704, au cours de la guerre de Succession d'Espagne.
En 1703, le maréchal de Villars avait conseillé à Maximilien-Emmanuel de Bavière, électeur de Bavière de fortifier ses villes « et surtout le Schellenberg, ce fort au-dessus de Donauwörth, dont le grand Gustave nous a enseigné l'importance. ». En dépit de ce conseil, l'électeur de Bavière, dont les rapports avec Villars s'étaient dégradés, négligea de réparer et de renforcer les défenses sur les hauteurs du Schellenberg.
