Le Wagensonnriegel est une barre rocheuse de 959 m de haut située sur une petite crête subordonnée de la forêt bavaroise près des villages de Rinchnach, Kirchdorf im Wald et Frauenau.
Sur le sommet rocheux très visité, il y a une petite chapelle, une croix sommitale et quelques bancs. La vue s’étend vers le sud et l’ouest jusqu’à Gsengetstein et Rinchnach à proximité. Plusieurs sentiers de randonnée balisés mènent au sommet, par exemple depuis Kohlau, Zimmerau, Frauenau, Althütte, Klingenbrunn ou Waldhaus. Le Wagensonnriegel est également accessible à vélo.
