Le musée d’histoire locale de Schermbeck est installé dans une ancienne maison d’agriculteur. Un examen des troncs de chêne utilisés date le bâtiment des années postérieures à 1566. Cela en fait le plus ancien bâtiment résidentiel du centre-ville.
