Carhaix-Plouguer , communément appelée Carhaix, est une commune française du département du Finistère, en région Bretagne. Elle est le chef-lieu du Poher et fait partie de l'Argoat.Connue pour être l'une des cités les plus florissantes d'Armorique gallo-romaine sous l'Antiquité, portant alors le nom de Vorgium . Elle est aujourd'hui connue pour accueillir, depuis 1992, le festival des Vieilles Charrues, l'un des principaux festivals de musique d'Europe.
