Le Pont Neuf est le plus ancien pont encore debout sur la rivière Seine à Paris. Il relie la Rive Gauche de Paris à la Rive Droite. Le dernier Grand Maître des Templiers, Jacques de Molay, fut brûlé sur le bûcher le 18 mars 1314 sur l'Île de la Cité près du Pont Neuf. L'exécution fut ordonnée par Philippe le Bel. Au point où le pont croise l'Île de la Cité, se dresse une statue équestre en bronze d'Henri IV.
