Abbadia Alpina ; Piémontais : La Badia Occitan : L'Abaia) est une ancienne commune de la province de Turin dans la région du Piémont, située entre les torrents Lemina et Cusone.
Le monastère bénédictin de Santa Maria ad Abbadia Alpina a été fondé en 1064 par Adélaïde, princesse de Suse. En 1078, l'Abbaye territoriale nullius de Santa Maria ad Abbadia Alpina a été établie. Elle conférait à son abbé les privilèges d'un prélat diocésain : c'est-à-dire que le territoire n'était pas attribué à un évêché. Au lieu de cela, l'abbaye était directement soumise à la Sainte-Siège. À partir de 1443, ses abbés résidents ont été remplacés par des abbés commendataires, souvent laïcs, principalement intéressés à encaisser les revenus et les gains de l'abbaye.
