Pétange est une localité luxembourgeoise et le chef-lieu de la commune portant le même nom située dans le canton d'Esch-sur-Alzette.
Pour ce qui est du nombre d'habitants, elle est la cinquième commune du pays et la plus peuplée des communes n'ayant pas le statut de ville.
